To her biker sisters, she was kind, strong, loyal, beautiful, respected, unique, and a free spirit like no other. To the animals she rescued, she was a compassionate, helpful hero who gave herself to as many warm-blooded creatures as she possibly could. To those she worked with, she was focused and dedicated, a salesperson with the buyer’s best interests at heart. This merely touches the surface of who Gypsy Rider was to those who knew her.

Yomi was not native to the United States but grew up in beautiful Venezuela. Leaving her childhood home behind, she left to pursue a life in South Florida. Her mother and two brothers remained in Venezuela and in time preceded her in death.

She also left her own furry family behind. Yomi had two dogs, and one cat that thanks to the biker community she was a part of, were immediately placed in loving homes. Rescue animals were her passion and she just couldn’t give enough when it came to any four-legged friend. She supported many rescue groups with her time and energy hoping to make a real difference.

Making a difference with animals wasn’t her only passion. She truly loved her biker sisterhood. As a former member of the Chrome Angels, Gypsy Ryder rode with strength. She was known and loved by many. Her friends would agree, she lit up a room with her presence and her personality was magnetic. If you needed a hug, Gypsy knew how to give them. She was able to show you love while making you feel cared for and accepted.

She cared for her co-workers and customers as well. Yomi worked for Rick Case Honda, as well as Alligator Alley Harley Davidson in motorcycles sales. But it wasn’t just about the sale… it was fitting the individual with the right ride that mattered.

Sadly, sometime between the evening of June 1st and June 2nd, Gypsy Ryder rode into eternity. She died peacefully in her sleep due to an existing heart condition that took her sweet soul at the age of 52.
